All about Maddy

My name is Maddy. I’m 10 and I have three sisters called Fran, Amelie and Josie. I’m short for my age but I grew 1 inch in May 2010 which is very unusual for me. I have light brown hair and brown eyes like my dad but he has black hair. I like to wear t-shirts, trousers and trainers. My hobbies are reading, sports, hanging out with friends, sleeping, helping others, playing with friends, sisters and animals, adventures, sleepovers, maths, holidays, days out, smiling, acting, singing and dancing, being friendly, play music and go carting.

All about Amelie

Amelie is 8 years old and LOVES gymnastics. She has dark brown hair and brown eyes. She likes to wear dark t-shirts, dark trousers and crocs. Amelie is absolutely CRAZY!!!!!!!! ( and sometimes annoying) she is very good at writing and plays the violin. Amelie has a purple sparkly violin and plays it very well. Her hobbies are gym, gym, gym, gym, gym, gym, gym, gym, gym, gym and gym.

All about Fran

Fran is my oldest sister. She is 12 years old and very energetic. I share my bedroom with her. She is kind and lovely but can get a bit cross and upset. She has honey coloured hair and I think she is very pretty. She dose gymnastics, dancing and rugby. She wears glasses, t-shirts, trousers and trainers. She is very sporty, talented and playful. Her hobbies are playing, gym, dancing and staying up late.

All about Mummy

My Mummy is 36 years old. She has honey coloured hair with bits of blond in it and has the lightest skin in our family. She has short toes and only has one toenail. Unlike me and my sisters my mummy has blue eyes. She likes to wear t-shirts and trousers. Most of the time she has her hair up in a bun. She is very crafty and she is very good at drawing but she does not think so. I love my mummy so much!

My PGL Holiday

June 9, 2010 at 9:50 am (Uncategorized)

I first heard of PGL when my friend SB said she was going on a PGL holiday and she asked if I would like to come with her. I said yes but it was a long wait before we went. I and my family came home from a holiday in Devon and I had to pack quick because I was going to PGL the next day! In the morning I was very excited. SB and her dad came to our house to drop her off and we pack the car and off we went.

My favourite activity was raft building. We got into groups of six or seven; we made the raft out of four plastic barrels, four ropes and two logs. We got some paddles, pushed the raft into the lake, we got on and paddled away. It was very fun and everyone kept falling in the lake but we were wearing bungee jackets to help us swim. Soon there was only three people left on the raft me, a boy and a girl. The boy and the girl wanted to go back to land but I didn’t so I jumped in the lake. The water cold so cold that I swam back to land. We put the rafts away then we started falling in the lake and then we went back to the changing rooms.

My second favourite activity was high ropes. We put on harness and we were clipped on to a metal bar and we went round a course. It was very high up, I was scared at first but I went round it once and it was fun so I went round again. Before I went on the high ropes I was afraid of heights but afterwards I wasn’t, but one girl said she was not scared of heights but after the high ropes was scared of heights!

The day I left I was sad to go but glad to come home.   After PGL I’m braver, I’m more confident, I’m better at making friends and I will face any challenge. We got certificates for doing all the activities we did and some of us (and me) got prizes for good behaviour and helping others. I really liked PGL. It’s a great place to have fun, to relax and getting to know yourself.
